The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched "MACL Career 2024," a program designed to inform school students about job opportunities within the company. The inaugural fair took place at Ghazee School, highlighting MACL’s commitment to social responsibility.
This initiative aims to educate students about various career options in aviation and airport operations, helping them make informed choices for their future. MACL CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohammed, alongside other senior officials, attended the event to support this endeavor.
The program is particularly significant as it emphasizes the diverse career paths available at MACL. Unlike many other airports, Vellana International Airport operates within a village context, offering a range of municipal services in addition to airport functions. This unique setup provides students with a broader perspective on potential career avenues.
Principal Basheera Mohammed of Ghazee School highlighted the importance of such initiatives in connecting students to real-world job markets. She thanked MACL for creating opportunities that enhance the relationship between schools and the community.
"MACL Career 2024" will be held in two sessions, featuring a lucky draw at each. Twenty students selected in the draw will have the opportunity to learn more about MACL's work, while ten students will receive gifts during the fair.
This program not only empowers students by providing them with valuable insights but also reflects MACL's commitment to fostering a skilled workforce in the Maldives. By guiding young individuals towards careers in aviation, MACL is helping to shape the future of the industry.
