Greater Male' Transport Link Resumes Male’-Airport Bus Services

In an announcement by the Greater Male’ Transport Link, it has been decided that buses will resume operation on the Male’-Airport route starting from January 10, 2021. This is a resumption of the services after it was discontinued due to the alarming pandemic situation in the Greater Male’ area earlier this year. 

Buses are scheduled to commence everyday from Male’ at 5.30 a.m. in the morning and run hourly until 12.30 a.m. past midnight. They will return in the same manner from the Airport starting from 6 a.m. till the last bus at 1 a.m. past midnight. These timings are exceptional to Fridays on which buses will start at 6.30 a.m. in the morning. It will also be discontinued between 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. for the Friday Prayer.

According to the new schedule, bus stops have been limited to Carnival Bus Stop, Artificial Beach Volley Court, MACL Office and Airport ATM (BML).

Even though the country came to a stop following the breakout of COVID-19 in March 2020, GMTL and its staff have been supporting the transport of passengers in every stretch of the way possible.
