Alongside 64 representatives from 25 companies, MMPRC is actively promoting the Maldives as a premier travel destination for the Italian market.
As Italy remains a significant source market for the Maldives, this event provides an essential platform to connect with international operators and industry leaders, including tourism boards, tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and accommodation providers. MMPRC's participation is vital to keeping the Maldives top-of-mind for Italian travelers.
At the Maldives stand, MMPRC is engaging in various activities to enhance awareness of the destination. This includes direct interactions with travel agents, tour operators, and media representatives, allowing industry partners to share updates about their properties and services. As of October 1, 2024, Italy has contributed 106,946 arrivals to the Maldives, solidifying its status as one of the largest source markets.
To further strengthen this connection, MMPRC has planned initiatives such as media and influencer familiarization trips, digital media campaigns, and the upcoming "Discover Maldives Webinar Series: Italy Edition." These efforts aim to maintain and grow the Maldives' appeal among Italian travelers.
