Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has officially announced the establishment of an annual guesthouse symposium, following the success of this year’s event held at Crossroads Maldives. During the opening ceremony, MIB's Deputy CEO Ahmed Riza emphasized that the decision to host the symposium annually stemmed from discussions with key players in the tourism sector.
The symposium attracted over 75 participants, many of whom reported gaining valuable insights to enhance local tourism. Riza highlighted the importance of such gatherings, stating they provide essential platforms for industry stakeholders to share ideas and collaborate effectively.
Young creators showcased innovative tools and products designed to help manage guesthouses, while various service providers had the chance to present their offerings. Panel discussions focused on effective management strategies and the promotion of local tourism as a cultural industry, fostering growth within the sector.
The sessions also underscored the necessity of utilizing available platforms to improve service quality in guesthouses. MIB's commitment to supporting the tourism industry through these initiatives marks a significant step towards enhancing the Maldives' reputation as a premier travel destination.
