MI College has honored its first batch of graduates in agriculture with the "Top Achievers" award during a special ceremony. The awards were presented by Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare Dr. Aishath Rameela, recognizing the students' accomplishments in their higher education journey.
As part of the awards, the top achievers received seed money to support their agricultural ventures. Additionally, five outstanding students were granted the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka, where they will gain hands-on experience in gardening and further enhance their skills in the field.
In her speech at the ceremony, Minister Rameela emphasized the crucial role of higher education in agriculture for improving food security. She noted that the government is actively working on initiatives aimed at strengthening the agriculture sector, which includes fostering cooperation with private individuals to promote development in this vital area.
The event not only celebrated the students’ achievements but also highlighted the government's commitment to advancing agricultural education and practice, ensuring that future generations are equipped to meet the challenges of food production and security.
