MMPRC Hosts B2B Networking Event in Budapest

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), in partnership with 1000UT, successfully held a Destination B2B networking event in Budapest, Hungary, on September 26, 2024. The event featured six representatives from three Maldivian tourism companies: Robinson Maldives, Kandima Maldives, and Intour Maldives.

Designed to strengthen the Maldives' brand presence in Central and Eastern Europe, the event connected 40 Hungarian travel agents with key players in the Maldives tourism industry. Hosted at UP Hotel Budapest, the event included presentations that offered valuable insights into the Maldives' diverse tourism offerings.

The event provided a platform for networking and discussing business opportunities, highlighting the unique experiences available in the Maldives. Attendees explored connectivity options from Qatar Airways and Fly Dubai, making it easier for travelers to reach the Maldives from Budapest. A mini-workshop focused on the specific offerings of Robinson Maldives, Kandima Maldives, and Intour Maldives.

With 12,500 tourist arrivals from Hungary recorded as of August 31, 2024, the Maldives sees significant potential in the Eastern European market. MMPRC is committed to reinforcing the Maldives' position as a top destination and fostering connections with local agents. Upcoming marketing initiatives, including the CEE Roadshow 2024 and the CEE Discover Maldives Webinar Series, will further promote the Maldives among Central and Eastern European travelers.
