Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has successfully concluded the Basic Airport Firefighter Course for its 29th batch. Spanning 43 days and starting in July, the course focused on aviation safety and emergency response techniques. Trainees learned how to effectively manage fire incidents at the airport, its surroundings, and onboard aircraft.
During the closing ceremony, MACL's Deputy Managing Director, Mohamed Lamaan, emphasized the importance of maintaining high training standards. Notably, this is the first time the course was conducted through MACL's in-house training program, approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Maldives.
In line with enhancing safety protocols, MACL has also inaugurated a new fire station at the airport equipped with modern technological facilities. This initiative reinforces MACL's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for both staff and travelers.
