The government recently honored 441 students with the Top Achievers Award for their outstanding O'level and A'level results. The awards were presented in three sessions at Dharubaaruge, with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attending all events. This year’s ceremony was entirely funded by the government, unlike previous years when state-owned enterprises sponsored the event.
Among the recipients, 376 students were recognized as National Top Ten for A'levels 2022-2023, while 65 students achieved top global results in O'levels. Notably, 18 students received global awards for their O'level performance. Additionally, 12 students secured first place nationally in A'levels, and 27 students earned Certificates of Excellence with three A stars.
Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu announced that a separate ceremony to honor the O'level Top Ten for this year will be held before the end of October.
