Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu announced today that the top 10 O Level achievers will be honored as per the established guidelines during the High Achievers Award ceremony. The event is scheduled to be held at Dharubaaruge this Thursday.
Recent social media discussions have raised concerns that only the first-place O Level achievers have been invited to the ceremony. In response, Minister Shafeeu clarified that these claims are based on misinformation.
"At the High Achievers Award ceremony, while students with international achievements in A Levels will receive awards, the top 10 achievers in O Levels will be celebrated according to the ministry's regulations," he said.
The recent A Level examinations were held at 45 centers nationwide, including three in Male’ and 42 in the islands, with 3,268 students participating. Among the top 10 achievers, more than 400 students have been identified.
The ceremony aims to honor academic excellence across both national and international levels, ensuring that all top performers receive due recognition.
