Join the Largest Run in the Maldives: DMRR 2024 Registration Open

Registration is now open for the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) 2024, the largest and most anticipated running event in the Maldives. Interested participants can sign up and find more information at www.dmrr.mv. The registration window closes at 23:59 on Tuesday, 10 September 2024, with the event scheduled to take place on Friday, 25 October 2024, at Central Park, Hulhumalé. This year marks the 15th edition of the event.

A new category, the Office & Resort - 5K Team Event, has been introduced this year. Teams of four from any resort, government entity, state-owned enterprise, or private sector can participate, representing their organizations. Teams can consist of all-male, all-female, or mixed-gender groups. Additionally, registrations are open for the Open categories: Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, as well as School Above 13 - 5K and School Below 13 - 5K.

As in previous years, DMRR 2024 is dedicated to supporting the social cause of child protection, one of Dhiraagu’s key corporate social responsibility initiatives. The event will provide a platform for NGOs focused on child protection to raise awareness and funds for their cause. Dhiraagu will award five grants totaling MVR 200,000 to the top five endorsed NGOs, nominated by participants during registration, to support their planned activities.

Additionally, Dhiraagu will donate MVR 100 from each participant's registration and all proceeds from special bib number sales equally to the endorsed partner NGOs. Last year, Dhiraagu distributed a total of MVR 635,000 among all endorsed partner NGOs of DMRR.

This year, DMRR will offer a total prize pool of MVR 256,000 for winners across various categories, continuing the tradition of rewarding top participants.

DMRR is the first and only international run held in the Maldives, recognized on the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running calendar with a World Athletics-certified race route.
