Black Ant Fishing wins the Championship of Ooredoo Masrace – GDh. Thinadhoo and takes home and MVR 25,000!

Black Ant Fishin emerged victorious at the Ooredoo Masrace 2024 held in GDh. Thinadhoo on 23 August 2024. This event marked the second segment of Ooredoo Maldives’ annual fishing tournament, celebrated as part of the company’s 19th anniversary.

The competition, held across three locations—K. Himmafushi, Lh. Naifaru, and GDh. Thinadhoo—saw Black Ant Fishin securing the top position with an impressive 1665.81 points. Team MIB came in second with 523.25 points, followed by Hoandedhoo Masverin in third with 478.85 points.

Special awards were also given out, including the Heaviest Catch by Abdulla Didi of Black Ant Fishin (7.15 kg Handhi)

Best Fisherman, awarded to Dhaus Hassan of Hoandedhoo Masverin.
The Best Fisherwoman title was shared by Athika Mohamed and Aishath Noofa Ali from Team MIB.
