During the ceremony, Minister Dr. Mariyam Marya emphasized the ministry's dedication to increasing youth awareness in various fields, developing critical thinking, and building a strong future for the nation. She highlighted that students who complete their tertiary education abroad and return to the Maldives are well-equipped to face and overcome challenges and possess the necessary skills for the 21st century.
High Commissioner Caron Röhsler expressed her pleasure in increasing the number of scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students. She underscored that the scholarships cover significant fields vital for the Maldives' development, providing a golden opportunity for students to experience cultural diversity and gain practical experience.

The scholarship aims to help students achieve their goals and advance their education. The ministry expressed gratitude to the UK for strengthening bilateral relationships and supporting Maldivian institutions and students.
