A significant conference focused on investments in the Maldives tourism sector began today at CROSSROADS Maldives. The "AHICE Maldives Hotel Investment Summit," organized by the Australian Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE), has attracted resorts and hotels operating in the Maldives, alongside 140 foreign investors from countries including the United States, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Turkey, India, and Sri Lanka.
The primary goal of the conference is to provide detailed information on the investment opportunities available within the Maldives tourism sector and to facilitate connections between investors and potential projects.
Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal inaugurated the conference, emphasizing the government’s commitment to creating a favorable investment climate. Minister Faisal highlighted the country’s popularity among tourists and the relatively short timeframe for return on investments in the Maldives.
James G. Wilkinson, President of AHICE Group, reiterated the Maldives' status as a top tourist destination and the importance of showcasing the investment opportunities available in the country.
The conference included panel discussions on various investment opportunities in the Maldives, aiming to provide investors with insights and facilitate meaningful connections. AHICE has announced plans to hold many such conferences in the Maldives in the future, further boosting the visibility of the country’s tourism sector.
Previous investment forums organized by AHICE have been held in Singapore, various Southeast Asian countries, and Fiji, continuing their tradition of promoting prime investment destinations globally.
