The inaugural Ooredoo Nation Global Faceoff, a Rocket League tournament featuring teams from the Maldives and Qatar, is set to start tomorrow. Group stage matches will take place on Thursday, August 8, and Friday, August 9, with the playoffs scheduled for Saturday, August 10. All matches will be livestreamed on the Ooredoo Nation YouTube channel.
This event marks Ooredoo Nation's first international e-sports tournament, aiming to foster the e-sports community and provide a global platform for gamers to compete. Ooredoo Maldives CEO Khalid Hassan Al-Hamadi expressed his excitement about the tournament, highlighting the company's commitment to supporting and promoting the growing e-sports community in the Maldives. He hopes to see friendly competition and enjoyable gameplay between the two nations.
The tournament is being held in commemoration of the 19th anniversary of Ooredoo Maldives.
The winning team will be awarded a prize of USD 1,919, adding a competitive edge to this celebratory event.
