Our island nation is a popular holiday destination worldwide. However, we said a temporary goodbye for our prestigious tourism industry for a period of almost three months due to the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the country. When the tourist activities resumed on July, it would not be a lie if I say that many of us had little hope for a positive outcome. Nevertheless, fast-forward to December, we have achieved great strides, tourism-wise, considering the fact that the pandemic is still ongoing. In this regard, on yesterday, the record for the highest number of tourist arrivals on a single day since the border reopening which was achieved on 20th December, has been broken!
