Bank of Maldives Launches 'Bank Fund' to Empower Community Initiatives

Bank of Maldives (BML) is taking a significant step towards empowering local communities with the launch of its 'Bank Fund'. This initiative aims to provide support and funding to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), charity groups, and clubs across the Maldives, enabling them to spearhead projects that promote sustainability and social progress.
The 'Bank Fund' seeks out innovative ideas that address critical issues in areas such as education, environment, sports, and community development. With a commitment to fostering positive change, BML will select five projects annually, granting each project MVR 200,000 to fuel their initiatives.
Karl Stumke, CEO and Managing Director of BML, expressed the bank's dedication to making a meaningful impact in the communities it serves. "At BML, we believe in giving back to our communities and supporting grassroots initiatives," Stumke stated. He highlighted the success of previous community-focused programs and emphasized the bank's renewed commitment through the 'Bank Fund'.
For local NGOs, charity organizations, and clubs eager to make a difference, the 'Bank Fund' presents an opportunity to turn their ideas into reality. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their proposals via email to bankfund@bml.com.mv before the deadline on 10th June 2024.
