Hanimaadhoo Airport Resumes International Flights After Year-long Break

Hanimaadhoo International Airport, managed by Regional Airports Company (RACL), has resumed international flights after a one-year pause. The temporary suspension was due to adjustments in operating hours aimed at expediting the airport's development project. Now, with operations scheduled twice a week, travelers can once again access international routes. The ongoing airport development includes extending the runway to 2,465 meters, with 1,200 meters recently completed. RACL assures the remaining work will wrap up by month's end, further enhancing the airport's capabilities and connectivity.
