Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the launch of foreign money transfer platforms and digital wallets, marking a significant step in enhancing customer banking services.
In a statement released today, BML revealed the unblocking of previously restricted foreign merchants, including money transfer platforms and digital wallets. This change enables customers to conduct seamless transactions using BML's Visa USD credit card or MasterCard prepaid USD travel card.
CEO Karl Stumka highlighted the importance of this update, emphasizing its support for freelancers and small businesses reliant on foreign income. The move reflects BML's commitment to improving service quality and facilitating international remittances for its diverse customer base.
With digital wallets set to be introduced, artists can leverage these platforms to showcase their talents globally and generate income, further expanding opportunities for economic growth and financial empowerment.
