HDC and Ministry of Social and Family Development Sign MoU for Hulhumale’s Elderly Drop-in Center

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and the Ministry of Social and Family Development have solidified their commitment to elderly care with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of an Elderly Drop-in Center in Hulhumale’. Representing HDC, Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul Rashid, and from the Ministry, Aishath Shiham, formalized the agreement.

The Elderly Drop-in Center, situated in Shelter Tower 8, is already 90% complete, marking a significant milestone in HDC's corporate social responsibility initiatives. The center aims to enrich the social health of elders through various activities while also providing essential health-related information and awareness.

Under the MoU, the Ministry of Social and Family Development will oversee the center's operations, ensuring its effectiveness in catering to the needs of Hulhumale’s elderly population. HDC reaffirms its commitment to enhancing community well-being by continuously developing such facilities and delivering vital services to the residents of Hulhumale’.
