Consequent to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways, continues to rebuild its global network which currently stands at over 100 destinations. With additional frequencies being added to key hubs, the airline hopes to offer its passengers unrivalled connectivity.
With this in mind, yesterday, Qatar Airways was delighted to announce via a press release that they will begin incrementally increasing flights to Montreal in Canada, starting from 16th January 2021 and operate daily frequencies by 25th February 2021. The airline states that they will be utilizing its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 which features 36 seats in the award-winning Qsuite Business Class and 247 seats in Economy Class for the operations.
Prior to this, a codeshare agreement has been executed between the airline and Air Canada, which enables both airlines’ passengers to enjoy seamless, one-stop connections to and from Toronto via the Best Airport in the Middle East, Hamad International Airport and onwards to more than 75 destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The additional frequencies will complement to as well.
Qatar Airways began operations to Canada in 2011. The airline had collaborated with the Government of Canada and its embassies around the world throughout the pandemic, temporarily operating three weekly services to Toronto in addition to charter flights to Vancouver for the purpose of bringing over 4k Canadian nationals home.
