In a significant move to bolster infrastructure at Velana International Airport, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has inked a memorandum of understanding with the Road Development Corporation (RDC) to oversee road construction and maintenance within the airport premises. The agreement, signed on Saturday, March 16, solidifies RDC's role in resurfacing, repairing, and maintaining airport roads, ensuring optimal conditions for passengers and vehicles. Under the pact, RDC will also undertake essential tasks like water drainage to prevent road flooding and pavement cleaning, aligning with MACL's vision for superior airport management. MACL Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed highlighted the strategic collaboration as a milestone, emphasizing the efficiency and expertise RDC brings to the table.
