Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, is set to recommence flights from Hanimaadhoo International Airport to Trivandrum, India, marking a significant step in enhancing connectivity between the northern region of the Maldives and India.
Scheduled to begin on the 12th of next month, these flights aim to provide direct access for travelers from the northern part of the Maldives to Trivandrum, catering to various travel needs, including medical treatment, business, and leisure.
Island Aviation Services (IAS), the operator of Maldivian Airlines, highlighted the convenience these flights offer for both business travelers and holidaymakers. Ticket bookings for the Hanimaadhoo-Trivandrum route have opened on 6th March 2024, with flights operating twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, using Maldivian's Dash 8 aircraft.
