Dhiraagu Joins Forces with EPA in 'Restore Rasfari' Reef Restoration Project

In a significant move towards environmental conservation, Dhiraagu partners with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to contribute to the 'Restore Rasfari' project. This reef restoration endeavor, initiated by the EPA in response to damages from a ship grounding incident at Rasfari, receives a boost with Dhiraagu's commitment to provide sustained support to EPA's restoration teams.
Dhiraagu not only pledges long-term assistance but also equips the restoration teams with essential diving kits. The 'Restore Rasfari' project, spanning over five years, will focus on coral propagation and direct transplantation in the affected area, located within the Rasfari Marine Protected Area site.
Volunteers from Dhiraagu recently participated in the underwater restoration efforts, emphasizing the collaborative approach to environmental stewardship. The Rasfari island's restoration holds paramount importance for biodiversity conservation, serving as a habitat for a diverse marine ecosystem.
Expressing enthusiasm for the partnership, Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, affirms the company's dedication to environmental preservation, aligning with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The partnership underscores Dhiraagu's ongoing commitment to champion projects that prioritize the protection and conservation of the natural environment.
