In a bid to empower and nurture the talents of Maldivian youth, Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has announced an exciting opportunity for them to gain hands-on experience in a Turkish drone manufacturing company. The initiative, revealed at the launch of the Maldives Youth Hackathon held at the Art Gallery, aims to tap into the potential of talented individuals recognized through the hackathon.
President Muizzu's encounter with a drone manufacturer during his visit to Turkey paved the way for this collaboration. The Turkish company's officials are expected to visit the Maldives to solidify the partnership.
Minister Faisal expressed his optimism, stating, "I think we can provide opportunities with the company for the most potential kids coming out of this program," emphasizing the Ministry of Tourism's commitment to cooperation in this endeavor.
Highlighting the broader vision, Minister Faisal envisions developing applications and platforms that cater to global tourists, making it convenient for people worldwide to book Maldives resorts. This strategic move aims to elevate Maldives tourism, especially in key markets such as France, Italy, Russia, China, and India, amplifying its global appeal.
