Armed with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of West England and a rich history in various management roles, Fathimath Thaufeeq brings a unique skill set and background to her pivotal role at MMPRC.

Fathimath Thaufeeq's academic achievements, coupled with her extensive professional experience, position her as a dynamic leader ready to navigate the challenges and opportunities in the realm of marketing and public relations for the Maldives. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her previous roles, including her tenure as the Admin and Procurement Manager at WAMCO and HR & Admin Manager at Jalboot Maldives.

Beyond her contributions in the private sector, she has made significant strides in her career with roles at ALIA and the Environmental Protection Agency. These experiences have not only equipped her with a diverse skill set but have also provided her with a comprehensive understanding of different facets of management.

Ayesha Nurain Janah Takes the Helm as Chairperson of MMPRC

With a distinguished career as a Chartered Accountant and a decade of management experience, Ayesha Nurain Janah brings a wealth of expertise to her new role at MMPRC as its new Chairperson.

Currently serving as the Executive Vice Chair at Janah's Hotels & Resorts Investments Maldives (HARIM), Nurain oversees a multi-industry business with interests spanning hotels and resorts, construction technology, and marine products. Her leadership at HARIM reflects her commitment to excellence and innovation in various sectors.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Ayesha Nurain Janah is recognized for her contributions to social entrepreneurship. She is the Founder of Rehendhi Coaching & Consulting, a social enterprise dedicated to transforming executive leadership by emphasizing collectivist cultures and indigenous frameworks, as well as the Founder & CEO of Authenticity Aotearoa, a charity focused on empowering women of color to express their authentic selves.

MMPRC Appoints Tourism Industry Veteran Mohamed Bassam Adam as Deputy Managing Director

A seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the travel and tourism sector and a distinguished professional in the travel and tourism industry, Bassam brings to the role a wealth of experience, industry knowledge, and a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives.

With an Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management, Bassam has spent over two decades contributing to the growth and development of the travel and tourism sector. His diverse skill set encompasses event conceptualization, industry partnerships, and expert guidance to leading publications. Notably, he has served as a Board Member of the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), where he actively shaped industry policies and advocated for the interests of travel agents and tour operators.



As a tourism consultant, he provided strategic consultation to numerous successful travel companies, both domestically and internationally. His insights and guidance have proven instrumental in improving operational efficiency and expanding market presence.
