In a momentous occasion, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) marked its dedication to community development and education by inaugurating the Huravee School Vocational Hub, named "Hunaru Vehi." The ceremony, graced by esteemed guests including Minister of Education Ismail Shafeeu, Minister of Higher Education Mariyam Maria, and MACL CEO and MD Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, celebrated the collaborative efforts to enhance vocational opportunities for Maldivian students.
"Hunaru Vehi," established under MACL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aims to enrich the education sector by providing students with essential skills for successful employment post-graduation. As part of this initiative, MACL furnished the vocational hub with equipment for carpentry, welding, electrical work, and sewing. The company also committed to covering the costs associated with repairs and maintenance, reaffirming its role in advancing educational opportunities in the Maldives.
During the ceremony, CEO and MD Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed emphasized MACL's commitment to community development and education, aligning the company with broader social responsibilities. Minister of Education Ismail Shafeeu underscored the vital role education plays in the country's success, emphasizing its transformative impact.
Expressing gratitude for the partnership with MACL, Principal Abdullah Rasheed highlighted the positive impact that "Hunaru Vehi" will have on the school's educational offerings. The event also saw the inauguration of two additional centers within the school, named "Dhasveshi" and "Mariyaadh," further reinforcing the collaborative commitment to advancing educational and vocational opportunities for students in the Maldives.
