President Expands Aasandha Coverage for 'Endometriosis' and 'PCOS' Treatments

In a significant move towards enhanced healthcare inclusivity, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expanded the coverage of the Aasandha Scheme to include comprehensive treatments for 'Endometriosis' and 'Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).' The decision, prompted by the Cabinet's recommendation and following the Ministry of Social and Family Development's submission, addresses challenges previously faced by patients, particularly those denied coverage due to diagnostic links, including cases involving infertility diagnoses. As part of the 'Hafuthaa 14' roadmap, this initiative reflects the Administration's commitment to refining treatment protocols and conducting awareness programs among healthcare professionals in government hospitals.
