Coinciding on the occasion of their 56th Anniversary, State Trading Organization (STO), has opened a bus stop and a park developed by the Company as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), at the west park area in Male’ City. The head office of STO is also in the same vicinity.
The park is also equipped with exercise machines.
An inaugural function was held yesterday evening where the bus stop and park was officially inaugurated by the Vice President Faisal Naseem. Whilst addressing the audience at the function, the Vice President notes that the newly opened bus stop and park is amongst numerous projects designed to mitigate the difficulties faced by commuters in Malé City. In this regard, he stresses that the Government attaches high priority on resolving all issues faced by the residents of Malé City and to cultivate a peaceful and comfortable city.
The Vice President also highlighted that all drivers and pedestrians play a vital role in keeping the streets safe and hence, to be more all drivers and pedestrians play a vital role in keeping the streets safe, He also urged more people to use public transport.
Also speaking at the function, the Managing Director of STO, Mr. Hussain Amru Mohamed Rashad reiterated that the Company will always be duly committed to serving the people and also hinted at further expansion plans of their businesses.
