In a collaborative effort between the National Library and the Bank of Maldives (BML), a transformative upgrade has been unveiled, breathing new life into the cultural hub. Led by BML, the initiative encompasses a comprehensive revamp of reading spaces, including the main reading area, research room, Makers Space, and the National Collection Room.
Key enhancements feature the introduction of discussion rooms, a silent reading area, and a state-of-the-art audio recording booth. Notably, the library now boasts its first-ever security gate, augmenting its operational efficiency.
BML Chief Executive Officer, Karl Stumke, accompanied by National Library Director General Fathimath Shiham and State Minister Ahmed Munaz, personally visited the revamped space to witness the positive changes.
Beyond the National Library, BML extends its commitment to cultural enrichment by facilitating upgrades at the National Museum of Maldives, further contributing to the nation's cultural and educational landscape.
