Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has unveiled plans to recommence pivotal development projects in the Maldives, marking a significant move towards economic advancement. In a recent announcement on X, the minister confirmed the revival of the integrated development project in Ihavandhippolhu and the commercial port near L. Gaadhoo, both initially launched during the previous administration.
The i-Havan project, introduced by former President Abdulla Yameen, aims to establish a trading and business hub in the northernmost Haa Alif atoll. Simultaneously, plans for the Gaadhoo Port development project, including the relocation of residents to Funadhoo island, are set to resume.
Additionally, the minister hinted at the restart of the Male commercial port project, with detailed information expected in the near future. This collective effort underscores the government's commitment to fostering economic growth through strategic and integrated development initiatives.
