Three New Airlines Set to Take Off for Maldives This Winter

The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has confirmed that three new airlines are gearing up to launch operations in the Maldives this winter. Leading the pack is BeOnd Airlines, a premium leisure airline and the first of its kind globally. It is set to kickstart flights on November 9th, embarking on its maiden journey to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Virgin Atlantic Airlines is not far behind, initiating services from London Heathrow Airport to Velana International Airport on October 30th. The airline is scheduled to operate thrice-weekly flights to this popular Maldivian destination. Cyprus Airways is also joining the party, with plans to connect the island nation with Cyprus starting November 26th.
While the arrival of these new airlines brings a fresh wave of excitement to Maldivian aviation, the MACL anticipates that the 41 airlines that traditionally serve the Maldives during the winter months will continue their schedules. With these three new additions, the winter season is poised to be a bustling period for Maldivian air travel.
