Urbanco Collaborates with Youth Ministry for Cutting-Edge Thilafushi Motor Sports Arena

Urbanco, a trailblazing entity in urban development, has solidified a promising partnership with the Ministry of Youth to bring a state-of-the-art Motor Sports Arena to life in Thilafushi Phase II. This groundbreaking collaboration is set to allocate a dedicated 10-hectare expanse of land for the upcoming arena, poised to transform the motorsports landscape.

The momentous agreement was officially inked between Ahmed Athif, Managing Director of Urbanco, and Deputy Minister Azmoon Ahmed, representing the Youth Ministry. The signing event was graced by the presence of Mohamed Shamih, President of The Racing Association.

Ahmed Athif, exuding enthusiasm, highlighted the triumph over challenges faced during the establishment of similar facilities in Hulhumale', paving the way for an international-grade racing track in Thilafushi. With an eye toward innovation and excellence, this endeavor aims to raise the bar for motorsports on a global scale.

Mohamed Shamih, shedding light on the venture, underscored the arena's multifaceted purpose. Beyond racing, this arena will embrace a spectrum of motorsports disciplines, promising a diverse and engaging experience for enthusiasts. A primary motivation behind this project is to bridge the existing gap in suitable spaces for motorsports activities, particularly catering to the aspirations of the youth.

This collaboration between Urbanco and the Ministry of Youth is more than a construction project; it's a manifestation of the shared vision to foster engagement, empower the youth, and contribute to the dynamic motorsports culture of the Maldives. As the foundation of the Thilafushi Motor Sports Arena is laid, it propels the nation forward on a path of innovation, inclusivity, and impactful urban development.
