With the installation of concrete blocks for quay wall construction well underway and quay wall concrete works progressing, the project has reached an impressive 74% completion mark.
This ambitious project encompasses a wide range of enhancements aimed at bolstering the harbor's capacity and functionality. Among the ongoing operations are the construction of a robust 31-meter breakwater, a 680-meter rock boulder revetment, and a 700-meter geo bag revetment. The project also includes the creation of a durable 374-meter quay wall, a modern concrete jetty, and the installation of essential harbor infrastructure such as lights and pavements.
The comprehensive scope of the K. Maafushi Harbor Development Project extends to vital dredging operations, including 63,711 cubic meters for the new harbor basin, 28,836 cubic meters for maintenance, and 4,414 cubic meters for the channel.
