MTCC Partners with Ministry for Ambitious Gdh. Madaveli Land Reclamation Project

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) takes a decisive stride towards coastal development as it joins hands with the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure for the ambitious Gdh. Madaveli Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project. The agreement, a testament to their commitment to sustainable infrastructure enhancement, was formalized through the signatures of MTCC's COO Shahid Hussain Moosa and Ministry's DG Ms. Fathimath Shaana Farooq.

The scope of this groundbreaking project encompasses a holistic approach to coastal transformation, including reclaiming an expansive 8.85 hectares of land, constructing a 450m drainage bioswale, bolstering protection with a 628.70m rock boulder revetment, and fortifying the coast with a 678m geobag revetment. The comprehensive nature of these developments underscores the project's commitment to addressing various aspects of environmental and infrastructural needs.

At an estimated value of MVR 77.90 million, the Gdh. Madaveli Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project reflects a strategic investment in the Maldives' future.
