Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) takes a significant stride towards empowerment and inclusivity by concluding its impactful three-month internship program for students with disabilities. This pioneering initiative, in collaboration with Care Society, stands as a testament to MACL's commitment to fostering an all-encompassing environment and promoting sustainable development within the Maldives.
The program, which ran from 1st May 2023 to 31st July 2023, catered to the unique needs of four students from Care Society, offering them invaluable exposure within the bustling environment of Velana International Airport. Designed to provide hands-on experience and meaningful engagement, the interns seamlessly transitioned through diverse roles, encompassing daily administrative tasks, customer service interactions, and staff support. Guided by dedicated supervisors, they tackled challenges with enthusiasm and acquired indispensable work skills.
A momentous chapter of the journey was marked by a poignant certificate awarding ceremony held at Velana International Airport. MACL's CEO & Managing Director, Mahjoob Shujau, personally presented certificates of completion to the interns, with senior management from MACL and representatives from Care Society in attendance.
