A new era of connectivity and community enhancement dawned as President Ibu Solhi officially unveiled the Dh. Hulhudheli Harbor development project, marking a significant stride in maritime infrastructure development.
With the successful completion of the Dh. Hulhudheli Harbor Development Project in February 2023, the region is now endowed with a modernized harbor that stands as a testament to progress and potential. The project, valued at MVR 45.8 million, was commissioned by MTCC plc., a name synonymous with transformative infrastructure.
The meticulous execution of the project encompassed an array of operations, each designed to elevate both connectivity and convenience. Dredging operations, an impressive 49,149 cubic meters in total, paved the way for an enhanced harbor layout. The project's centerpiece, a robust 330-meter quay wall, stands as an emblem of durability and efficiency. The meticulously crafted 277-meter breakwater and the steadfast 252-meter revetment collectively safeguard the harbor's integrity, ensuring smooth sailing for vessels of all sizes.
With a commitment to holistic development, the project extended beyond construction. A sprawling 2,961-meter harbor pavement emerged, seamlessly blending function and form. But the impact did not stop at infrastructure – a series of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives brought warmth and betterment to the community. A total of MVR 120,197 was dedicated to initiatives that resonate with the community's needs.
As the inauguration echoed with a sense of achievement, the Dh. Hulhudheli Harbor project embarks on a journey to not only bolster connectivity but also enrich lives. The project stands as a symbol of unity, innovation, and progress, a foundation upon which the community can build its aspirations.
