President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih Inaugurates Hanimadhoo Harbor and Road Development Projects for Enhanced Connectivity

In a momentous ceremony, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the Hanimadhoo Harbor Development & Shore Protection Project and the Hanimadhoo Road Development Project. The completion of these projects signifies a leap forward in enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives.
The Hanimadhoo Harbor Development & Shore Protection Project, valued at MVR 65.15 million, was executed by the Planning Ministry. This ambitious project involved dredging operations totaling 26,395 cubic meters, along with the construction of a 310-meter quay wall, a 704-meter breakwater, a 140-meter revetment, and a 90-meter groyne for shore protection.
Similarly, the Hanimadhoo Road Development Project, valued at MVR 28.90 million and contracted by the Planning Ministry, saw the construction of 18,871.16 square meters of sidewalks, a carriageway spanning 44,296.90 square meters, road markings covering 20,774.86 square meters, and the installation of a water drainage system and service lines.

These groundbreaking endeavors are a testament to the commitment of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to contribute to the welfare of the community. Moreover, MTCC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities amounting to MVR 831,658 further underscore their dedication to uplift the lives of the people they serve.
