The launching of OneGov aspires to welcome a digital transition that highlights a modern digital interface and ensures assisting efficient communication between the public and government. The Rresident Ibrahim Mohamed Solih strongly supported the above statement on Monday while delivering remarks at the inaugural event held at Sultan Park.
As affirmed by the president, this digital platform will enable citizens to remotely access government services in a citizen-centric approach, given the geographical distribution of the Maldives. This will ultimately expedite the achievement of SDGs and tackle climate change. As noted throughout the speech, inter-island travel to reach out for the government services such as those provided by institutions and offices will be eliminated by adopting this change.
