BML Renews Partnership With Tennis Association of Maldives

On Tuesday, the Bank of Maldives (BML) renewed its longstanding partnership with the Tennis Association of Maldives (TAM). The agreement was signed at a ceremony held yesterday between the CEO & Managing Director of BML, Karl Stumke and the President of TAM, Ahmed Hafeez.

The partnership was renewed as part of the bank’s strategy to support sports development in the Maldives. Under this new partnership, BML will be extending support to the National Tennis Championship for the next three years. Through this, the bank will be actively helping develop young players for the sport and recognize the potential top talent among players.

Speaking about the partnership, CEO & Managing Director of BML, Karl Stumke remarked, “The National Tennis Championship is the longest-running tennis tournament in the country, and we are delighted to continue our partnership with TAM to enable young athletes to further develop their talent.”

BML is also the official sponsor of all national football and surf teams and the nationwide sponsor of the Swimming Association of Maldives. Moreover, aligning with its commitment to developing sports in the country, BML is currently supporting 7 top-level national athletes to train and develop at globally recognized high-performance training centres through its Sports Scholarship Fund.
