Government Facilitates Visa Exemption For Maldivians Travelling To Oman

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives announced that Maldivian nationals travelling to the Sultanate of Oman will now be exempted from entry visas. With this facilitation, Maldivians holding valid passports can enter and stay in the Sultanate of Oman for a maximum period of fourteen days from their day of entry without requiring an entry visa.

The visa exemption will be granted to individuals meeting certain requirements when entering Oman. This includes having a passport with a validity of a minimum of six months, a pre-arranged and confirmed hotel booking, health insurance and return fare tickets.

The visa exemption signifies the close and cordial relations existing between both countries and is a standing testimony to the high regard accorded to the Maldives by the Sultanate of Oman. The Maldives have also been granting on-arrival visa for many countries as well.
