Government Contracts The Expansion of Two Health Centres In Maldives

The Ministry of Health has contracted two parties to undertake the expansion of health centres in the Maldives. Under this initiative, the two health centres to be expanded are located in Dhiyamigili in Thaa Atoll and Gemanafushi in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

The Health Ministry has awarded the Dhiyamigili health centre expansion project to Engineering Solution Private Limited. Under this project, the company will construct an extension building and portico in the health centre. The project is scheduled to be completed within 154 days.

The Gemanafushi health centre expansion project is awarded to Veeru Group Private Limited to be completed within 120 days. The scope of this project includes building an enclosing wall, expanding the medical storage facilities and establishing a new administrative section, laundry, a public unit and parking spaces for ambulances.

These projects align with the government’s aim to provide accessible healthcare to all parts of the Maldives.
