On Friday, 3rd March 2023 Ooredoo Maldives kicked off the Ooredoo STEM Fair which featured seven various schools across three novel categories: Novice, Junior and Senior. The two-day fair showcased the STEM talents of students, putting forward STEM education and awareness among others and helping fuel the next generation of STEM professionals in the Maldives. The two-day event is taking place at Izzuddeen School Hall and will conclude on 4th March 2023.
Several schools in the greater Male’ region are partaking in the event. This includes Al Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya, Iskandhar School, Brightway International, Ghiyasuddin International School, Majeedhiya School and Kalaafaanu School. The first day of the event saw judges evaluating the various projects on display with judging taking place from 2:30 pm to 10 pm. During the second day of the event, the general public can view the projects from 10 am to 4 pm.

Showing her support for the cause, Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Ali commented “It is a must to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in a digital world. The Ooredoo STEM Fair is an excellent initiative to promote STEM education and inspire students to pursue careers in these fields.”
The results of the Ooredoo STEM Fair will be announced at an award ceremony held on 4th March 2023 between 4 pm and 6 pm. The fair provides a platform for students to use science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to address and solve modern-world problems while serving as a valuable learning experience, harnessing the brilliant minds of tomorrow.
