MACL To Launch An Online Tender Portal To Streamline Operations

On Tuesday, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) announced that it has created a new tender portal that will assist in streamlining and automating tender-related works carried out by the company. Set to be launched on 5^th March 2023, the online tender portal will also pave way for greater transparency in all tender-related activities.

The portal provides a centralized platform where vendors can register, view and respond to tenders, requests for quotation (RFQ) and expressions of interest (EOI) issued by MACL. With the aim of enhancing transparency, the tender portal will enable fairness in the procurement process as well. Additionally, by allowing vendors to register and participate in the tender process, MACL strives to drive greater participation of vendors in its tendering activities.

In addition to this, the new process will offer convenient options for both parties by eliminating the need for physical submissions and reducing the risk of errors. Thus, ensuring that procurements proceed smoothly and efficiently in a reliable manner. To register to the portal, vendors can visit the ‘tender’ page on the MACL website at www.macl.aero and click on the ‘Tender Portal’ tab.

Vendors will then have to fill out the registration form and update their vendor profile. They can even view previous tenders on the portal with status indications such as ‘active’ and ‘archived’ shown on their respective tenders. Once approved, vendors can submit queries or offers through the portal’s ‘Actions’ menu. The online portal marks a huge step in digitalizing the services of MACL.
