The Non-Resident Ambassador of Poland Pays A Farewell Visit To The President

On Tuesday, the non-resident Ambassador of Poland, His Excellency Adam Burakowski paid a farewell call to the President, His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The meeting took place at the President’s Office today. During the meeting, the President conveyed his greetings and well wishes to the Ambassador and expressed gratitude for the exceptional services he has facilitated under his leadership.

The President and Ambassador Burakowski expressed interest in working closely on areas of mutual interest, particularly in matters that enhance and strengthen the existing cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels. They also explored avenues of further increasing cooperation in tourism, trade, civil aviation, human resource development and climate change at the meeting. 

Before concluding the meeting, the Ambassador affirmed his confidence to consolidate Maldives-Poland relations to a greater extent. On this note, President Solih commended the Ambassador for his commitment to further enhancing bilateral ties between both countries. The meeting concluded with the President wishing the Ambassador success in all of his future endeavours. The Maldives and Poland first established diplomatic relations on 1st October 1984.
