Tree Top Hospital (TTH) has successfully concluded the health screening event held at Huravee School in Hulhumale Phase 1. Under a collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the screening event took place from January 10th – 16th and catered to a total of 445 students from grades 1,4 and 7.
Before the health screening event commenced, an information session was carried out for teachers and parents by Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Rukshana Ahmed at the school hall. During the session, she shed light on the topic of nutritional requirements for children and raised awareness of mental health problems. The aim of this session was to address rising health concerns in the Maldives, particularly among school children.
The health screening event provided the opportunity for numerous students to receive basic health screening assessments. This will help to identify any complications or cases that require further referral to a specialist for treatment. TTH continues to optimize opportunities to emphasize on the importance of regular health screening and examination, spreading health-relevant information among the general public for a healthful community.
