Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid Pays A Courtesy Call On The Cambodian Prime Minister

On Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, during his state visit to the Maldives. The meeting took place at Paradise Island Resort.

At the meeting, Minister Shahid warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and his delegation to the Maldives and expressed hope of pursuing closer cooperation on all levels of bilateral relations, in both regional and international spheres. He also noted that the agreements exchanged on Monday would mutually benefit the people of both countries.

 
In this regard, Minister Shahid highlighted the Visa Exemption Agreement, deducing that will increase cooperation in the future and help build people-to-people contact. Speaking further, the Foreign Minister ascertained the Prime Minister on Maldives’ stand to implement the outcomes agreed upon by the two leaders during the Official Talks.

The Cambodian Prime Minister concluded his state visit to the Maldives today. He undertook the official visit between 15-17 January 2023 at the invitation of the President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
