The Cambodian Prime Minister Officially Arrives in the Maldives In His State Visit To The Country

Today, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen arrived on an official visit to the Maldives this morning. The Prime Minister is undertaking an official state visit to the country at the invitation extended by the President of the Maldives, His Excellency, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

The Cambodian Prime Minister and his delegation were received at Velana International Airport (VIA) by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid (ODRI). The government of the Maldives will officially welcome the Cambodian Prime Minister later today at a special ceremony held to mark the occasion.

During his state visit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen and President Solih will hold official talks to further consolidate bilateral cooperation between the 2 countries. The talks will be followed by the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding between Cambodia and the Maldives. Moreover, the Prime Minister and the President are also set to deliver a joint statement highlighting the outcomes of their discussions.

The Maldives and Cambodia established diplomatic relations with each other on September 21, 1995.
