Ministry of Education Contracts The Development Of Three Schools

Last week, the Ministry of Education contracted three companies to construct extension buildings in three schools. The schools featured in these projects include Fulhadhoo School in Baa atoll and Nooraanee School in Hithadhoo, Addu City and Finey School in Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The projects are financed by the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) budget for 2021.

Under this project, the Ministry of Education signed contract agreements with three companies. During the signing event, the Policy Directo of the Ministry, Naushad Ibrahim represented the government of Maldives. The construction of an office and classroom was contracted to Oslo Investment Private Limited at a cost of USD 162,000. The project is set to be completed in 95 days. The Managing Director of the company, Ibrahim Abdulla signed on behalf of Oslo Investment.

At Nooraanee School in Hitadhoo, Addu City 12 more classrooms will be built and the project was awarded to Nooraddeen Investment Private Limited at a cost of USD 805,000. The classrooms are to be constructed within one year and the Managing Director of the company, Ali Nooraddeen signed the agreement.

In Finey School, a multi-purpose hall is going to be established by Wave Length Private Limited. Costing USD 811,00 the hall is set to be finished in one year and was signed by the Director of the company, Mohamed Fazeel.
