HDC X Ugail Foundation Launches ‘The Year 2045’ Book

On Sunday, the Housing Development Corporation in partnership with Ugail Foundation launched ‘The Year 2045’ book in the Maldives. The book encompasses the visions and hopes of students for the world in 2045 and includes works of participants of The Circle academy. The book was officially launched by the Managing Director of HDC, Ahmed Athif.

The Circle Academy is an initiative by the Ugail Foundation supported by HDC. The academy aims to improve critical thinking capabilities and empower children and youth through its activities. With the purpose of building a generation that is keen on learning, scholastic and technically skilled, The Circle Academy was incepted in 2019 and has since then contributed to the growth and development of numerous enrollers.

Some of the well-received programmes featured in The Circle include ‘Leader of Tomorrow’, ‘Coding and Critical Thinking’, ‘Advanced Coding’ and ‘Creative English’. Through these programmes, the academy strives to inform partakers on new knowledge and broaden their critical thinking capacity and instill in them useful life skills which will benefit them in their future lives.

Speaking in the ceremony, the Managing Director of HDC, Ahmed Athif remarked that HDC has been supporting and conducting several initiatives like this for residents of Hulhumale’ and visitors alike. Speaking further, he reaffirmed to the attendees that HDC will be increasing its efforts to build an educated generation in the country in the coming years.
