The Ambassador of Maldives To The EU Presents Credentials To EU President

 On Friday, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to the European Union, Mr. Omar Abdul Razzak presented his letter of credence to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. The ceremony took place at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council during the hours of 16th December 2022.

Following the ceremony, the President and the Ambassador met and spoke on various topics. President Charles Michel welcomed and congratulated Ambassador Omar on his appointment. Similarly, the Ambassador greeted the President warmly and conveyed his good wishes on behalf of the President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the Maldivian people.

At the meeting, the Ambassador and President reflected on the positive and accelerating momentum of the Maldives-EU relations over the past few years. In this regard, they reaffirmed their commitment to continuing interest in further strengthening the exceptional bilateral cooperation between the parties. The Ambassador was accompanied to the ceremony by Counsellor, Ms. Mariyam Seena and First Secretary, Ms. Fathimath Reena.
